学情分析
学生大部分来自农村，比较内向，不善于表现，课堂气氛比较沉闷，口语表达能力不强，但学生上课纪律很好，学习也比较勤奋，经过高一一个学期的学习，已很好地适应了高中的学习生活，各方面都有了很大的进步。本节课是阅读课，学生已掌握了一定的阅读技巧，加之学生对本单元话题的兴趣较高，对于外部世界充满好奇与探索欲，通过本节课的学习，学生对加拿大有了初步的了解。
老师还要针对学生的基础情况，加强对学生进行词汇及口语的训练，更要大力鼓励和激励学生，树立学生的自信心。
效果分析
通过这节Reading的学习，大部分学生都能对加拿大的基本情况作了深入了解，并掌握了Vancouver及Calgary等城市的特点，学生掌握了文章的内容，并掌握了Skimming Scanning等阅读技巧。

课后反思
这节Reading课，是对加拿大的基本情况的介绍，让学生对加拿大有了基本的了解，基本上达到了本节课的三维目标，学生能够通过自主学习，阅读文章，完成教师设计的教学活动，进一步加深了对加拿的了解，并且掌握了文章中出现的句型和短语，但也存在一些不足，尤其是学生对于课堂用语把握不够准确，所以有时不能很好地执行老师的指令。在今后的教学中，一定要注意课堂用语的使用，使学生能够更好地深入课堂学习。
